The Grass Doctor

Anyone ever use Nu-Gro Turf Fertilizer (28-4-10) on Lawn?

I saw this really huge bag of grass fertilizer called Nu-Gro Turf Fertilier with the values 28-4-10. I have used Scotts Turf Builder (29-4-3) but find that their bags are too small in relation to their cost and want to try another brand. Can someone tell me if this Nu-Gro brand is any good for lawns? Has anyone tried it?

  1. the brand shouldn't matter that much, the 3 numbers tell you what's in it, that 28 must be the nitrogen that makes it green and grow a lot but doesn't do much for the roots. it depends on what you're trying to do.
  2. I don't think the brand matters all that much. I live in North Texas and use a 3-1-2 ratio fertilizer or a 4-1-2.
