i have a scotts rotary fertilizer......its a scotts "standard with an orange rotary dial selector?

i would like to know if i can apply grass seed with it and what would be an approximate dial setting ???

  1. Yes, you can spread the seed with it. It should say on the seed bag what setting to use for the Scotts spreader. If not, start at 1 or 2, and see how it's spreading. If necessary, set it to a higher setting. It shouldn't take too long for you to figure out what the correct setting is for the seed.
  2. Yes experiment to see how much is coming out. you always want to seed a little heavy to get a good coverage. So don't be afraid to get seed on thick, is better than to thin. Then cover with what ever for germination.
