grass seed=which type is best for over seeding a lawn?

2/3 is most sunny, 1/3 shady, medium traffic, central pa weather.. not really too hot.. thanks

  1. It really depends on where you are located, but in my area, Kentucky Blue Grass is always a good one, but a mix of 75% KBG and 25% Rye would make for a very strong grass in most areas.
  2. Kentucky Blue Grass is one of my favorites. St. Augustine is probably the most desirable. I have not had success with seeding. I don't know anyone who has. The best chance for a beautiful yard is to just buy sod and do it little by little.
  3. 80%-90% Oregon perennial rye, some fescue (for traffic). Kentucky Blue seems to never stop flowering and seeding. NE. PA
  4. I plan to use a mixture of Bermuda grass and Kentucky bluegrass. I did some research online and it sounds like the two will complement the other.
