- What kind of grass do you have, and how much of it is dead? A small patch or the whole thing?
- Seed is cheaper. If you sod, you may make your lawn even patchier. Why do you have dead spots? You need to find out. Home Depot has a book on diagnosing your lawn.
- Seed is a lot cheaper than sod but you have to water it every day and then pull weeds and wait for it to grow in thick. If you can afford it I'd go for sod.
- Seed rules! With some real cheap hay from your local WalMart should fix you right up. Oh, don't forget the water. Baby seedlings need plenty of water.
- seed is most definately cheaper sow it in early spring and keep it moist.....
