How soon after planting grass seed is it okay to walk on the young seedlings?
The lawn is a mixture of tall fescue, kentucky blue, and somerset perennial. It's two weeks since I planted. When is it okay to weed and tidy up?

- 8 -12 weeks
- Several weeks.
- Give it 6-8 weeks then tidy up. Your more than likely going to have to put more seed down as some seed will not germinate. Leave the cutting of the grass for as long as possible.
- Go ahead just dont drag your feet or you will pull the grass out of the ground roots and all
- not before they are tall enough and ready for their first mowing ( a light shave -just a centimetre of the tip) If you really need to tackle some noxious weeds before that step with your soles fully set on the ground for even distribution of your weight to minimise damage. You might look funny, but some things are just worth it ...
- Depends on how big your feet are and how heavy you are.If the soil is not too wet and you tread lightly it will be OK.
