The Grass Doctor

If you let your lawn grass go to seed, will that seed mature and drop to the ground and germinate?

Public Comments

  1. IT COULD BUT THE CHANCES are it wouldn,t as you need to break the soil up for the seed to root
  2. Yes..but it will take all summer and your lawn will look pretty messy in the meanwhile. Moreover, when you come to mow the grass it will be far too long for your mower to cope with.
  3. Yes, that's the way nature works, but it may not come in to the density and locations you would want for a perfect lawn. And they will only germinate if conditions are right - moisture, soil contact.
