  1. No, in face fall is a good time to refresh your lawn from a harsh summer... My neighbors have a beautiul lawn ! Very full lush and green.. They 2x a yr. spring/fall buy ordinary grass seed from Walmart and sprinkle liberally over their grass.. It's maintained beautifully.. Good luck.. Oh and water every couple of days...
  2. Perfect time (in the UK) for seed or turf, just make sure it gets plenty of water and cover it so the birds dont get at it.
  3. No, with the climate as it is there will not be a problem, but keep it well watered to start with.
  4. No, this is the best time, the soil is still warm, so get out there and get it done
  5. really depends on where you live....here we won't get snow for another couple months so it is a good time to sow, as it is cooler, and the sun won't scorch the new growth...another tip someone once taught me is to cover the new seed with a clear tarp...it acts like a greenhouse keeping it warm and accelerating the germination phase....catch is you have to watch that after it does start to grow, that you don't leave it on too long and end up cooking your new grass in the sun
  6. Are in the Northern hemisphere or the S Hemisphere? It is Spring in Australia. Perfect time to reseed the lawn.
  7. It depends where you live. It takes three weeks. Just ask if it worth it.
  8. Its all on where you live, in the south it's just about time to start overseeding, Just apply a similar type of grass a little starter fertilizer and get the water to it. Good Luck
  9. no its not grass will bed down and grow but let it get long before you do first cut.it will be fine next year.
  10. this is the best time to plant grass seeds, they will have time to establish before winter, and you will have a beautiful yard of grass come spring
  11. If your going to re-seed then do it now, autumn is almost here and with the rain that this brings the grass seed is more likely to rot, the day light hours are slowly getting shorter and the temperature is getting lower, in a month's time i would forget it till spring. Don't wait any longer or it will be a complete waste of time and seed.
  12. Yes because the birds will eat the seeds as fast as you're sowing them. Thes best time is at the end of February.
  13. No. September is the best time to put down grass seed.
  14. it really doesn't matter where you live as it is either spring or fall or hot all the time either way it is the best time to plant when it is cool but not freezing that said people should really at least tell country and region if they ask a question like this
  15. from mid april when the ground starts to warm up to end of september, soon as you get 1st frost it will slow growth, from end of sept to march best time to turf
