What steps are involved in planting seeds for a new grass lawn?

1. rake seed make firm lots of water success
2. rake sow and cover with 1/4 inch soil then water everyday
3. tilling up the lawn to make for fresh soil, spreading seeds liberaly, and puting hay over for protection
4. make sure the seeds stay evenly moist. a few light waterings a day if yiu can. If you flood it the seeds will pool together and you will have heavy planting and bare spots. Keep the birds away and people off of it helps too.
