NEW LAWN question what grass seeds will hold up and not get killed when it freezes and gets ice & snow covered

I live in Northwest Missouri winter temps get to -15 wind chill New lawns need lots of work and i will be pis.sed next spring if the lawns totally dead and needs complete re-seeding. I have some Scotts Kentucky bluegrass seed and Earl May Ryegrass blend Scotts is short but looks and feels great the Earl May seed is way taller but not as green looks ok which would survive winters cold or would neither lol

1. Most varieties will come back after a freeze. Bentgrass, Bluegrass, Ryegrass, Fescue. All of these will go dormant through a winter and come back in the spring.
2. both the grasses u mentioned come back year after year.... the seed will do better after a freeze too! kind of like when u see that alot of people put the grass seed in their fridge before putting it on the lawn... helps it germinate faster!
3. The grasses you mentioned will do fine with the freeze. Put on a pre freeze fertalizer and they will bounce back in the spring looking great. Look to Scotts for this product and apply it a couple of weeks prior to the real freezing temps. It encourages the grass to stop growing on top and focus the energy on the roots for a healthier lawn in the spring.
