- Heck no !! Go right ahead and clean up your spots and prepare the soil alittle and put your seed down ! In a few days you'll be seein sprouts.
- It is not too late, but you left out some vital information. Where are you? What kind of grass are you seeding? Better check your soil quality too. Do ph test, aerate. Go to your local garden center with some of the existing grass for help.
- No go ahead
- Try Turf Builder this product is awesome. It comes in variety of solutions pending the season. The one you need kills weeds, dandelions, crabgrass and has grass seed in it for the bald spots. I used this product for many years and my grass was so green and healthy it looked better than the neighbor's who were using well known contracted lawn services. You must keep it watered. Water about an hour before the sun comes up and water as soon as the sun fades out. Watering your grass regularly is the key to partnership with this product. Good luck!
- No. It's perfect timing, unless you live in say 'alaska' If you want to cover the spots though you should look at lowe's for turf, that already comes in squares cut...pretty cheap. If you don't have a big area it may be the way to go. If you have a lot of bald spots get you some grass seed that matches the type of grass you have in your yard if you don't know make sure to get the type of seed that corresponds to the water demands and shade of the area you plan on planting it. They all say this on the package. Get a rake and rake some ruts in the bald patch spread the seed, and water the piss out of it...water it every day if you can....you will soon have grass.....
- If you want the cheapest and easiest, lift the soil with a rake, dampen lightly, then seed generously followed by another spritz to to ensure good seed to dirt contact. Warm temps and the sun are your biggest allies so, if it's still cool in your area, be patient. It'll grow.
