patch grass?

Has anyone ever tried patch grass. It is green and has grass seed in it and you spread it on your lawn. It is supposed to grow grass twice as fast. I saw a commercial for it and was wondering if it works.

1. It is more expensive than just a bag of grass seed. It doesn't grow any faster either. The only advantage is it is not as noticeable than if you spread grass seed.
2. Some of those things work, some don't. We only use feed and weed in Spring and our lawn is the best.
3. Im a pro. most of that patchgrass is cheap seed with some recycled paper fiber fibers mixed in. you dont really know what kind of seed your getting and lots of time its junk. Your better of buy seed and then a bag of Penn Mulch to apply over the top read about grass seed and seeding here at http://www.elawnhelp.com or the blog http://www.elawnhelp.blogspot.com punch in penn mulch on the search box for penn mulch info like what it is and where you can buy it. you will be better of becasue you know what your putting down. I tell my father every year, but he keeps buying that junk at Wal-Mart and reseeding the same exact spots every year because it is annual junk grass. I love em, but he will never learn
