I just got done mowing the lawn and my face is beat read and I'm so hot, I drank like three bottles of water while I was mowing and no matter what I do I'm burning up and have a headache, any suggestions, and no, it's not hot today, it's cool and shady, this just always happens when I mow....thanks

- Move to Alaska.
- Make sure your body is hydrated before you start your mowing. Mow 20 min's and take a break, with water. Mow another set of 20-30 min's, whatever you can handle.
- I assume that you have a push mower. So I will offer a suggestion. Get a riding lawn mower.
- Texas is soooo hot! Already?? I just finished mowing my lawn and you could_fill_a water bottle with the sweat, but who'd wanna drink it?
- I know what you mean (not really tho cause it is cooler where I live). I try to mow the lawn in the evening when it is a bit cooler! I also rub my feet with a foot cooler (like got 2 be spa with eucalyptus and mint) so that at least some part of me is minty cool! and after I am done, I take an ice cold shower... it really does work! Make sure you drink plenty of water before hand so that you don't get dehydrated!
- As mentioned, stay hydrated. Wear loose fitting clothing. It may look goofy, but wear a large brimed hat to help shade your face. And finally, yes...take frequent breaks if desired.
- Like some of the other ideas I try to drink water and take breaks if I need to. I also try and mowe the lawn in the morning or evenings to avoid the worst of the heat. You could also try soaking a bandana in cold water and wearing it on your head or under a hat. Resoak it as needed. I do that when I'm fishing and it works wonders.
- I put on a pair of shorts and take my shirt off.
