How do I start my own Lawn Mowing Buisness?

It is two people and we have two John Deere Mowers. I also could use any websites that could help. How much should I charge?

1. You're gonna need weed whackers and maybe some weed spray. I'd go door to door and talk to your neighbors, see if they want your help. Send out flyers. Call some established lawn guys around you and see what they charge.
2. depending on the service, are you just cutting lawns, there a 100's of ways to make extras, reseeding patches of lawn, spreading lawn seed etc... you should but the lawn expert, it is a really exelent book on info foe lawns and i think this will give you even more ideas, as for the price a small lawn 10x10meters is normally around 10bucks use the ratio 1buck per square meter but this depends if there are other people in the same ares doing the same service, dont over price
3. ive actually just started up 2 months ago get some flyers out asap door 2 door calling and a newspaper advert once you have some custom you will notice others seeing you doing it andask you to do theirs 2 remember reputation is everything. Charging- remember to account for travel costs and running of mowers and wages i charge £10 for average lawn and any bigger you judge and there is 2 of us. also try offering other services, window cleaning rubbish removal etc good luck let me know how u get on

In the country most people cut their ow, In some small towns, people who work in offices need their homes kept in good condition, and their lawns kept neat and tidy. I would do some small lawn's at a reduced rate, just to get word of mouth out, and when people hear of you, they will want the same service, hope this can be of some help to you.
