  1. dont charge much. remember you can get to do it every 2 weeks,,maybe every week if the price is right. Tax free money in your pocket.
  2. I would hire you if I didn't already have someone. I pay $15 for my front lawn to be cut every 2 - 3 weeks (depending on how quickly it is growing). I'd say that lawn is about 20' x 50' if that will give you an idea of the space. It is not a tricky lawn (no shrubs or trees to get around, not sloped badly, etc.) It generally takes him about 1/2 hour to 40 minutes to do. He does use a leaf blower to get clippings off the sidewalks but I do not care if he rakes the clippings off of the lawn (I think it helps the soil to leave the clippings behind - something you might want to promote to your customers as an environmental selling point that will also help you do less work!). In my opinion, you are better off assessing how long it will take you to cut a particular lawn and then quoting a price to do it instead of saying you will charge so much per hour. Per hour pricing always makes people afraid you will take too long to do a job just to make more money (even if that is not the case). Good luck - I hope you make lots of $$$!
