First I will have to buy a good riding lawn mower, weed-eater...

  1. Hire a few illegal aliens, put them in a used pick up truck, show them what houses to cut, they will do the rest.
  2. that's a start... I would say to hit up areas that cater to more the older crowd, like 60+ . I'm pretty sure they need the help, build your clientele
  3. First: file your articles of organization with the state. For this type of small buisness try a Limited Liability Company or LLC. Second: Buy your equipment Third: Market your service Forth: Retain a good CPA to do your corporate taxes. Lastly: Start mowing GOOD LUCK
  4. Consider buying Entrepreneur's how to start a lawn care book: http://www.smallbizbooks.com/cgi-bin/SmallBizBooks/00053.html?id=ZEqHTbZS
  5. I recommend checking out the SBA, Entrepreneur, The Start Up Journal & Nolo. All 4 are great informational resources for the new/small business owner. I posted links for you in the source box. Associations may be a good avenue to explore as well. These organizations will address many of the thoughts, questions and concerns you'll inevitably have about lawn care services as well as many you haven't anticipated yet. See the source box for relevant links. There's nothing quite like research – the more you know about lawn care, the better. There are plenty of free informational resources out there. Check the source box for links to articles. Hope that helps! I wish you much success & happiness in all your ventures!
  6. get the equipment, hire a crew of illegal aliens, put them in a truck and drop them off where you need the work done (dont forget to leave a cooler a gatorade). come back in a few hours with some untaxed cash for them to split and a sac of taco bell so they'll keep showin up for work.
  7. Buy commercial.... buy a zero turn commercial rider to be exact...., like exmark. For weedeaters, stihl, redmax, or echo are very good commercial trimmers. (not the ones sold at homedepot) and have a good pushmower for very small yards and tight places.
