stupid question about lawn mowing?

ok, this may be a stupid question, but i havent mowed the lawn in about a month. it's a little grown up, not too bad. but it's not all nice and neat. it's getting cold here and it has already frosted. should i go ahead and mow it one last time, or would that like kill it all off or something?

  1. Nope; go ahead & mow. It'll be fine.
  2. wait till summer
  3. it will be ok ether way.
  4. yes it will probbly be the last time that you will have to mow it this year.
  5. Go ahead & cut. Does no harm at all. If in doubt raise the mower deck 1 notch & leave it a little longer for the final cut. We mulch leaves on properties 'til the snow flies with no problem......
  6. You should probably mow the lawn on the next decent day you have. That way, you'll also clean off any debris (leaves, twigs, etc.) that can cause damage to your lawn if left on it over the winter. As long as you're at it, after you mow, you may want to put some winterizing fertilizer down. If you never get the lawn to defrost, you probably won't do terrible harm, but it may not look so hot next year.
  7. go ahead and mow. it won't hurt it.
  8. You can mow all winter long if your grass continues to grow. One hazard is that if you mow when your lawn is still frozen( anything below 29 degrees f), you run the risk of killing your lawn. Growth typically slows during winter, especially in certain regions of the country. This will most likley be the last time you have to mow before your lawn goes dormant. Good luck, and if you have any questions call your local home and garden store for tips or specialized fertilizers that will jump-start next years growth.
  9. either way ive done both
