How often can you fertilize the lawn?
I have a bought a new house, and the lawn has some weeds and seems very thin. I put some Scotts weed and feed on it last week, it looks greener. How soon can I fertilize the lawn again?

- You're gonna kill yourself mowing if you fertilize now. You must fertilize in the fall when the lawn goes dormant unless you want to live on the mower all summer.
- not trying to be a smart a** but read the bag.
- you should fertilize your lawns at least every six months to get a good green lawn. an cut it reguarly high to make it become thick and soft.
- Wait at least 2 months and repeat, but you may not need to use the weed and feed , if no weeds just use the regular feed fertilizer, (Scotts)
- depends on how much you want to cut it 1st time in the spring and 1 s in fall
- spring and fall only and spot placement,s on weed,s use spreader do not handle bear handed
- At the end of the summer.
- Time machine is absolutely correct (read the freakin directions on the freakin bag). Scotts is the best product out there and if you follow their directions you will, eventually, have a marvelous lawn. This, of course, providing that you do other simple proper maintenance: watering, cutting, leaf raking, not having the Hooters Grass Vollyball Championships in your back yard.
- In the fall and spring are sufficient. It won't hurt to do it 4 times, but don't put down weed and feed in the heat of the summer. Pre-M would be good in the spring, weed and feed in the fall.
- I think most people fertilize in the spring, summer and fall. Don't overdo it or you could kill your grass.
