How can I get rid of Raccons messing with my new lawn?

they come around every night, rolling up my brand new lawn...it's been going on for a year now and I've had it. I tried everything from mixing Tabasco with water and soaking the lawn to Cayenne pepper..... traps with cat-food in them ...they will not even get near.... any other thoughts are greatly appreciated!!

1. Put a dog outside.
2. A shotgun and flashlight will do the trick
3. have a radio playing that they can hear and sprinkle cheap fresh coffee grounds around.
