What is your opinion on the movie, "A Day Without a Mexican"?
It wasn't a huge hit of course. The story goes that California wakes up one day when all Latinos disappear by some divine intervention. This sets off an unprecedented chaos ever seen in the history of the nation, as the country is devoid of workers of all sorts. No one to pick the fruits, no one to fold the laundry, no one to babysit, no one to mow the lawns, all Fast food joints close down, and all construction activity comes to a standstill. The total anarchy brought by In the end, Americans REALIZE that they can't do without their Southern brothers, and call them up once more and we all live happily ever after!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So sweet isn't it.

- I thought it is total propaganda.
- Well, there would certainly be dislocation. If all employees leave a job, there's going to be scrambling until they were replaced. These jobs were all done before, and are all done in states where there are few immigrants. I think we'd survive, somehow. Sorry if I spoiled the movie for you.
- It was a great movie--I loved it. But the reality is that if such a thing happened, those who were left to their own devices would eventually adapt and things would start rolling again. Probably not a smooth transition, but it would evolve--that's what people do.
- Yes, I would like that. But couldn't we have Everyday Without the MMMMMMMMMM's
- "A Day Without a Mexican"? Is a good thing!! Right!
- It was a movie,a fairy tail, wishful thinking. This nation wouldn't miss a beat if that happened. Id like to see them, if we had a day with out legal Americans. Now that would be damn funny to watch.
- i can't live a day without my Mexican friend !!
- Well some things about the movie are true, but some aren't. I have really wondered how it would be "a day without an illegal" not a mexican. A lot of mexicans who live in the U.S.A. are actually U.S. citizens or residents.
- Not really, more like stupid propaganda by pro-illegal idiots. I live everyday with out mexican's washing my clothes, watching my son, mowing my lawn, etc. No one really needs them they just like the average joe six pack to think that.
- If it was real I totally wouldnt be here.....nor would I have family or friends but eh....its actually probably really close to what would happen if it could..LOVED IT OF COURSE.!
- ROTF the REAL 'day without a mexican' had zero impact. Mexico is 'reality-challenged', they don't quite 'get it', and that's thanks to the incredible bullshit stories they get fed by their own govt. Mexico WANTS as many of their citizens planted in the United States as we'll tolerate, so they can profit by it and don't have to support their own poor. I think, though, that they are starting to understand that americans are kind of getting tired of the entire charade... The whole thing's something straight out of another movie, called 'they live', directed by John Carpenter...
- Makes me want to make a new one, life without mexico. Brings to mind an old saying, how sweet it is.
- It is nothing more than propaganda. If that happened, the people who were previously unable to find jobs due to refusing to learn Spanish would be the first ones out looking for work. I know I would be out looking for work.
- I am Mexican and I think that movie is so pathetic, it makes my stomach churn just thinking about it. There will never be a day without Mexicans, so why bother with stupid mediocre movies.
- Propaganda From The Left
- Kind of racist if some people think that life would be great without Mexican's, because everyone deserves the right to live in another country. If you are talking about illegals, than its a different story. Of course America will go down under without them!
- You can't compare that to the current situation. Americans want all the illegals gone not all the Mexicans! and for every job left open from an illegal I'm sure that there will be a happy legal immigrant or even poor American ready to fill it.
