Can my lawn service guy make my landlord pay for my past due bill or put a lien on his house? My husband and I rent a house in FL. We started having lawn care done shortly after moving in. When my husband lost his job last November we notified our lawn guy, he told us not to worry-"not a problem" he said. We told him that we could not afford service, to stop. He kept cutting- for 2 more months. He(lawn guy) keeps billing us, and to be honest and quite blunt- we cannot afford to pay him right now. We want to, we feel its our responsibility, we just can't right now, I'm sorry we have other bills-like rent and electric to worry about and I'm not working b/c I just had a baby. Anyways, the man keeps coming by the house, he rings the doorbell over and over- knocks on windows-steps on and knocks over my plants on the porch-kicks over our "butt" can and sends bill after bill. We have explained to him that we have not "forgotten" the bill it's just not a priority now. WELL he sent us another bill and he wrote on it that he is now going to put a lien on the house. Can he do this? HELP!!

which of the national lawn care chains is best? TruGreen? Lawn Doctor? Another one? I live in southern maryland and i suspect I need some seeding, aeration, maybe thatching and some fertilizer. It's a small front lawn, and I don't want to pay a fortune. I suspect one good treatment would keep me for the year. I mow the thing myself so I don't have a regular lawn service. Any idea on the best approach and what to avoid?
Lawn care for busy (lazy) people ?? I am interested in trying to get my lawn to look better, and I can't afford a lawn service so I need to do it myself. I am a very busy person (and I guess a little lazy when I'm not being busy) so I would love it if someone could outline for me a few basic steps that I could do that might make my lawn a little nicer. (Fewer weeds, thicker and greener, etc.) Be as detailed as possible, because this is something I have no experience in whatsoever. Thanks for your help !
