I need advice for starting up a small lawn mowing company? My friend and I are college student and we are looking to make a little extra cash during the summer. Legal Rights Regarding Lawn Mowing and Cars? I park my new car in my company's parking lot. Every week, a lawn mowing company mows the lawn around the parking lot and gets grass all over my back bumper (I park head out far enough from the cement stop so that my back bumper is not over the grass). I usually don't mind the mess although it is very difficult to remove - not to mention, technically ruins my paint. I just washed my car yesterday. I had a very long day at work today and I find my car dirty with hard-to-remove-paint-damaging-grass. Do I have any rights here in terms of maybe someone paying for my carwash? I think it's silly of me to escalate this but I am very careful to not get in the way of those mowing the lawn for them to just be inconsiderate and aim the cut grass at my car. What should i do? My lawn guy's company mowed over my built in sprinkler system? Ok, my lawn company I just hired to mow my grass this year accidentally ran over one of the heads to my underground built in sprinkler system. How can I mow my lawn to look professional? I have many trees, shrubs, and flower gardens in my backyard, and my lawn is just me mowing in circles around things and it doesn't look very nice when I'm finished. How can I mow it so it looks like the pros did it-- I'm expecting company and I'd like the house to look nice!

Any one with a brain could see how untrue it is, but if we look at the way many American citizens live and work today, it's not too hard to see that the dependency on cheap illegal labor is also the excuses for companies, communities, even the states to not take on the inevitabble transition to a more sustainable way of living. Take a closer look at the spending/consumption patterns of the majority of people, you can see how wasteful and unnecessary people spend their money(likely on things they can live without). Can I do something about my neighbor when I jsut found out my lawn service was cancelled because of her? My neighbor got into a shouting match with my lawn service provider. She didn't like the way he was mowing my lawn so she told him off, got her husband involved and apparently to avoid any future problems the lawn service people decided to stop. Now I have to get another person or company. She happens to be president of the HOA. Is there anything I can do or file a complaint?
What do you think of this newspaper ad? I am the owner / operations manager of a lawn & landscaping company. free lawn mowings- listen to whats happening. good or bad? every once and a while, people would come to our house and start mowing our lawns. these are professionals and someone obviously hired them--im never home when theyre doing this adn im never charged for the service. heres the problem - i live on the road perpendicular to the start of the culdesack, and on the corner of these two roads (when i come out of my house i see my road and when i turn left i see the cul de sack road.)i was home the first time i noticed this: the professional lawn mowers came to my house and started mowing. i went out side to talk to them (because thats my job and i knew my dad wouldnt even think to hire anybody for such an easy task) they sorted out the confusion, turns out theres another house in the cul de sack withthe same street number as mine and they are hiring a company to mow their lawns. my dad says were lucky. i say this is completely wrong. opinions? how do i stop them if im never home to talk to them--idk the company to call either
Is this legal? I would be inclined to believe it isn't.? In my hometown, we have an ordinance that states that the grass on our lawns can not exceed a certain height. We've got a lawnmowing company (which has more than tripled in size in the last few years since the ordinance passed) which sends scouts out all over town to check the height of the lawns. I've actually seen them out there with their rulers, going from lawn to lawn and checking the length. If it's not up to their satisfaction, lo and behold, a police car shows up not too long afterwards and gives a verbal warning to the owners of that lawn. Then, somehow, they nonchalantly suggest hiring the services of that particular lawn mowing company, in order to prevent further problems. Sounds like a scam to me. One that's working, considering the fact that I see this company steadily growing. Is this "you scratch my back, I'll scratch yours" kind of deal even legal? I sure am glad I own my own lawn mowing equipment.

Would you rather have the full package kind of thing (lawn mowing, mulching, trimming, fertilizing, aeration, etc.) for the entire year already planned out and divided into equal payments over 8-9 months or would you rather do everything item by item? Electric mower on a steep incline? I have a back yard that has a steep incline, probably about 30 degrees. The power electic mower is very heavy to maneuver, can tip sideways being top heavy when going across and cant make it up the hill. A hand push reel mower doesn't work very well either. I am considering trying an electric mower. Will that work? I cant afford to have a company come and mow my lawn. Any suggestions other than letting die and make my life easier? Thanks
