Do most people who live in small towns re-seed their lawns every year? Our friend insisted on loaning us his lawn seeder 'because we needed it'. Our grass looks fine to me, but until recently, I have been a 'farm only' dweller. (I know, country bumkin all over me!) If I were to re-do the lawn, I have checked into this 'zoyzia' golf course grass that would cost only slightly more than the cost of grass seed. Your opinion please! Thank you!
Rights... Do I have the right to post a message about a company who totally wronged us on our Lawn? Since the lawn is our property - do we have this right? We have a Phone and cable box right in the front yard (wireless neighborhood - all lines are buried) We were SOOO shaffed by the phone company that I would like to post a notice next to thier utility box telling all new people NOT to use them. We're in a new community and first house to go up. So as new houses are built they will need to get service. I am wanting to warn them all of our horrible situation, and to order from a different company. Can we get in trouble for this? sorry for not being clear. no prob with it in our yard. We didn't have any phone service for 2 months and they strung us along saying each week this was the week... The told us to use our Cell phone that was associated withour land line account and that they would credit any charges during the time that was were without a home phone. Well after 2 months they never hooked up our phone still. So we went with the cable company for phone service. Now the PHONE company is charging us $600 for the Cell usage for Oct and Nov. This is how they shaffed us.
When women complain "Men don't do Housework", can us men start complaining how women don't mow lawns, etc.? Too many women I work with love to bitch and moan about their husbands and how they don't help out with "housework" or washing up the dishes....and feminists love to bring out studies and statistics about how "men don't do enough work around the house" in 2009...but how many women do you know who mow the lawn? Take our the trash? Fix the car? Renovate the house? Trim the hedges? Tighten a leaky tap? Clean the gutters? If anything, us men do TOO much work around the house! Instead, we have feminists bitching about how men don't "do enough housework"...because, according to them, housework only involves vacuuming and cleaning...but what about all the other household work men do? I would happily start washing the dishes and dusting if WOMEN started taking the trash out and mowing the lawn... Why aren't men appreciated more for all the work they DO do?!
What environmental purpose do lawns serve? I just read about the U.S. gov't trying to implement artificial turf on lawns, as opposed to our God Given grass. I'm not a grass obsessor, but I am just curious what the government is taking from all of us(including their own children and grandchildren), to benefit themselves, strictly finacially, for today! So before I get too upset at the selfishness, I wanted to more educated on what was being taken!!!
How does the economy survive in the northern half of the US? I refer, of course, to the few remaining outposts that the Mexican invasion hasn't reached yet. How do people in Maine build houses? How do people in North Dakota have mowed lawns? Landscaping in Wisconsin? WTF? I thought these were jobs Americans wouldn't do... Should these states be crushed by now? How do they survive without overwhelming numbers of illegals to do 'all the jobs that Americans' won't do? I live in an area of the US where you can't find an English speaker to save your soul, and I mow my own lawn, I clean my own house, I take care of my own kids. Are there any documented, nonbiased studies that honestly show that illegals have a positive economic effect on this country? And please don't direct me to www.laraza.com, if I want to listen to biased people without a clue I can just read some of the pro-illegal questions here on Yahoo. I'd love to be proven wrong. Actual hard, undeniable facts that the Illegals contribute more than a deficit... Some_polisci... I'm a very rational person, my mind can changed with the right information, I would just like to see it. I read post after post about the economy being totally dependant on illegals, you've called people out for their sources on immigrants hurting the economy. I'm just calling out the Pro-illegals to post some hard numbers supporting their side of the equation. I don't have a bleeding heart, I could give a rat's ass about charity, but hard facts have been known to change my mind in the past.
What's the weed it has purple flowerheads, grows in lawns, and is smaller than a dandelion? It has lots of leaves going around its stem like a corkscrew and it not big enough to be purple loosestrife. Eastern US. They are only around a little while and die of as suddenly as they appear. There's another one that is blue, grows in my back lawn, is even smaller but does not have all the leaves on it. That could be blue vervain perhaps. I would use this weed identification website but there is a problem with my computer that does not allow the info bubbles to pop up for over a minute PER WEED and I get a list of dozens. The other weed identification site requires me to answer questions I don't know the answers too and then includes all these grass weeds and not much else. Last time you guys identified white clover for me in a jiff. If you don't know the blue one fine, another time, but the purple one? I think it is thistle now. I think you're right. Instead of 25 weeds to go through it narrowed it to just three. It's so nice to connect with so many people with so much usless information in their heads to share with people dying of curiousity. Thanks!! I looked up plantain and the flowers are not purple. They are white or green generally. A+ for effort. You get two points for at least trying. Thank you!! Anyone else that tries will get two points as well.
Do you need a license to mow lawns in California? Me and a couple buddies want to start mowing lawns for extra money. We live in San Diego, and I'm just wondering if it's legal for us to do this without any kind of license. We aren't looking to make anymore than a couple hundred bucks a week. And while it may not be illegal to mow lawns, would it be illegal to give ourselves a name? We want to call it "Lawn Enforcement"-The authority in lawn maintenance. LOL, should we just stick to no name?
Why does everybody hate the US ? We're only 10% of the world population but we consume 25% of the worlds resources. If we planted crops on the lawns and golf couses of the US we could end world hunger.
My neighbor watches us whenever we go outside from playing with the dog to hanging out washing What can i do? When ever me or my partner goes outside our neighbor watches us. We can be playing with the dog, mowing the lawn, or hanging out washing they still watch us. Is this legal? Is there anything we can do about it? We think they may also be contacting the landlord privately and telling them stuff about us when we rent through a real estate agent. They are senior citizens and we are in our early 20's. We have also signed in to a 12m contract?
Does an Electric Lawn Mower Make Sense for Us? I am thinking of getting a cordless elecrtic lawn mower for my husband to use (I don't do yard work). We have a very small yard, with maybe 400 sq. ft. of grass to mow. Right now, we have an old gas-powered mower that's been handed down several times. It's a pain to start up, keep gassed up, and use, so my husband mows less often than he should. Is an electric lawn mower worth the price, especially considering we only have a small yard? We do have an outlet outside where it can be recharged - how often will it have to be charged, and for how long? Will it really be easier to use and more convenient than a gas-powered mower?
How often does my landlord have to mow our lawn? Its not in the lease for us too.? I live in an apartment in Texas and don't feel responsible for maintaining the shared yard. I'm a busy mother of 2 and cant afford to go buy a lawn mower and pay to store it somewhere nor do I have time to mow it. What can be done about this? It's unsafe for the children living here.Every time any tenants contact them, they are out of town.It seems awfully convenient for them or they seriously vacation every month!
How do you enter the US legally to work? Let's say I am a poor Mexican willing to work hard and abide by the laws. I want to come to the United States and pick fruit, or mow lawns or wash dishes. How do I get here legally? If you believe there is a way, please cite the applicable visa provisions. I do not think there is a legal way for such a person to enter this country. Sorry, H2A visa will not work unless you already have a job offer from a US company. The other visa provisions mentioned are for skilled workers. I am talking about unskilled labor without a previous job offer from a US company. There is no legal way for such a person to enter this country to my understanding. Marrying an American citizen is a good way to enter, but also probably not a viable option for the type of person I am talking about.
Is this thatch or did our landscaper lie to us? Last summer we hired a landscaper to rebuild our front lawn. He laid centiped sod. It was beautiful all summer and felt like carpet when we walked across it. This is in NC. We were afraid to do anything to the grass except water and cut. I asked him to put us on a maintenence schedule. He came back in the fall while it was still beautiful and green and "winterized" it. Not sure what he did but we trusted him. This spring we had planned on him doing our back yard. I started noticing that all of our neighbors have green grass and the grass on the side of our lawn where it was not sodded is green. Our front yard is BROWN and crunchy. He came last night. First he tried to say it was not dead until I had him look at the other grass. Then he asked me what WE did to it!!! I told him nothing. He said it was thatch and we needed to have someone de-thatch it but he didn't have that machine and couldn't do it. He then said, I don't know what to tell you, got in his truck and left. What do we do?
Why Does Obama Think the US Needs Manufacturing when Grass Cutters Charge $30 for Small Lawns? It only takes a grass cutter about 20 minutes to do my 1/2 acre yard. And, he gets paid over $30. He happens to be an immigrant. There are plenty of them here who cut yards for great pay. If we create more manufacturing jobs, the cost to mow a small lawn will jump --- possibly to about $50. Oh, we also have several local high school grads in this area who have opened up mowing services because the pay is so great. Right or wrong? The point here is that this country "ain't" poor when grass cutters can charge $30/lawn and are busy as can be.
What is the name of this particular island in the us virgin islands? Alright, so this is kind of confusing me. In EVERY travel brochure, there is a picture of these brightly colored pastel row houses with deep green, perfectly manicured lawns and red clay roof tiles. I think it might be St. George but i'm not positive. I actually don't think St. George is an island, but idk
Is it the British Culture or just my In lawns? Is it the British Culture or just my In lawns? They came to spend the Christmas holidays with us and they along with brother and sister in law act as though as they are in a 5 star hotel while my husband and I spend the whole day catering for them, cleaning up after them as they refuse even to throw their rubbish in the bins provided. I don't want next year to be the same. What should I do
What is the best way to handle the illegals coming into this country? Us legals want to know.? Most of us Americans came here legally generations ago. Some more recent than others. If Ellis Island found an immigrant as an undesirable, then he was sent home. have we forgotten that just letting "anyone" into this country, and our ignorance of the facts, caused 9/11. We as Americans have gotten fat and lazy, and our children, who when I was their age worked in the fields, sold cantaloupes, and mowed lawns to make money, Have no sense of pride in work. My feeling is that if you do not want to be here and Legal, GO HOME!. Get our fat and lazy kids trained to do the jobs that we did as youngsters. PRESS 1 FOR ENGLISH should be illegal by constitutional ammendment. There is not a recording in mexican busineses, that says press 1 for espanol. Afterall, what happens if your visa expires and you are caught in Mexico, or God forbid there should be a single bullet left in your glove compartment, while visiting south of the border? BYE BYE I will never forget, will you?
Will the US continue to be numero uno? Most educated and talented immigrants come to US becoz 1. They believe this is a country where there is rule of law. 2. They believe that meritocracy is what determines success here. Seeing all the illegals here who have sneaked in and seeing the politicians who encourage illegal immigrants becouse of race based politiks, I dont think US is there number one destination any more. UK, australia and western europe are aggresively recruiting them. So, in a few yrs US will be run over by illegals who are good only to mow your lawns (once they are in the majority, they will want to take over our houses, as they are taking over our country). Once they are in the majority, they will vote illegals to government.Imagine, an illegal as el presidente!!!!
how much money is spent annually to harvest and process corn in the US? i read somewhere that people spend billions worldwide caring for grass, a plant we don't eat, use for building supplies, make fabric with, make medicine from, or use in any way other than for ornamentation. this isn't including grass that livestock graze on, more like lawns and sporting fields (baseball, football, soccer, etc). i was just wondering if, in fact, we spend more money on grass than corn, something we use in far too many foods and products. any facts or trivia on either are welcome, or just give your opinion on the subject.
What are all these "green jobs" that will stimulate us? Mowing people's lawns with a pair of scissors? Riding a bike to the unemployment line? Who is going to be paying this "energy tax"? Donovan, how exactly is wind power stored? What about all the Greenies that don't want solar panels in the desert because it might piss off the "habitats"?
With globalization at a point of no return what is the future for US workers? Lets face it -you gotta export to sell our goods and services to the countries selling us most of what we buy in the US.. When you elimnate the impact of all gov.,fed/state/local the military and all the support directly or indirectlly of the people who have jobs because of Government we're only talking30-40%%of total work force and the majority of their work is paid for by people who work for or because of the gvernment---------------------- So what are we going to export except money and related prodict----not much demand overseas for lawn boys or fast food workers-----------what?-----------What is the future of the US economy and its direct effect on you?
If I say something bad about a US state, can I get arrested? Like lets say I am in my house and I am talking to my friends. We go out on our lawns and I say something bad about Texas or say that Texas is a crappy state, can I possibly end up getting arrested? Now assume I live in a state like Massachusetts or California and I say something bad about Texas. Also, if another comes on my property and tells me to shut up, do I have the right to tell that person to mind his own business?
Why is the entire US built in such a way that it's population almost can't survive without cars? With the exception of NYC, and small parts of some other cities, this entire country seems to be built in such a way that people must own cars in order to function (sometime literally the only way to get somewhere from one's home). Makes me wonder if this was done on purpose to sustain the entire industry on which the country is based. Ex. too large homes, too wide roads, too big lawns, homes too far from each other...obviously no public transit can cover this kind of a landscape well.
Where is the best lakeside community in the US to live in? I'm panning to live in the United States and I'd really love to live in a lakeside community. I want a peaceful place with nearby entertainment and nightlife near downtown and country styled lawn with lots of trees beside the lake. I also want the lakeside water be clean. As per weather, cold in the morning, warm in the evening, and does not snow. Where is the best for you?
Who is the best in this lawncare, lanscape and irrigation business in US? Who is the best in lawn care, lanscaping and irrigation Do you know that you are the best in this field? Why? Would you like to go after twenty thousand clients? If you do, what is that you think that you have what's it take to go after this business? Fund? Knowledge in technical? Business knowledge? Why you are better than anybody else? Would you willing to put yourself a try? Tract record? Business success story in general?
Me and My friend made a poor decision to take drugs and are paying for it. Can some one help us? Earlier, me and my friend decided to take shrooms because there was nothing on tv. We decided to drive around at 4pm when suddenly a lawn gnome caught our attention. We thought it was cool so we took it. We got back to my place and passed out. We woke up a few hours later and could not find the lawn gnome and then we heard a loud banging on the closet door. We opened the door and found a young Mexican boy. What the hell do we do?
How can i prevent my parents from making us move? My parents told me I should get ready to move because the house is old. I don't want to move because I don't like the school they want me to go and I don't know anyone there. How can i prevent them from moving there for at least 4 years. In 4 years i'll be in college and i won't care where they live. These are the only solutions i can think of right now. Repainting the house, Mowing the lawn, Fixing fences, Roof, Car Washing, maybe paying them money?, Getting good grades. Anyone have any more suggestions? Ty
Most common magic mushroom that grows around my area, the US? I live in maryland, in a house with a fertilized lawn, mulch beds, and woods sorrounding it. When im walking through the lawn occasionaly ill see some mushrooms and just today I found a small cluster of brownish mushrooms, so im just wondering what mushroom would be the most common for me to search for, and what are the poisonous look alikes of it?
Please give me some ideas to improve Persuasive essay about enforcing immigraiton laws between US and Mexico? Here is what I have so far..... Imagine you are a sixteen year old livening in South Texas along the Mexican border. Mowing neighbor’s lawns is just not bringing in enough money for you. You begin to search for a part time job. Everywhere you go you are turned down by the employers. At first you can not think why they would turn you down. Then you find out they are hiring illegal immigrants. You feel cheated because you lost your job to an illegal immigrant that was willing to work for wags that are under the minimum wage. According to The Center for Immigration Studies over one million illegal immigrants come over the border every year. US citizen’s tax dollars are going towards paying for immigrant’s welfare and education. Our government needs to enforce the immigration laws that are currently being ignored. The government could start enforcing these laws by cracking down and penalizing companies that hire illegal immigrants. here is the part that got cut out... The government could start enforcing these laws by cracking down and penalizing companies that hire illegal immigrants. This would send a message to illegal immigrants that we will not hire them unless they have a valid visa. Companies that have been around for years now are shutting down because they can no longer compete with other companies that are hiring illegal aliens for less money. Our government should start enforcing laws that will shut down companies if they are found hiring illegal aliens. Illegal immigrants that are living in the United States right now are using American tax dollars to send their kids school.
My two year old refuses to let us call him by his own name or use personal pronouns.? My two 1/2 year old six weeks ago changed his name to the name of our lawn guy, and refuses to let us refer to him as "him, you, or he". He catches every "mistake" we make instantly. It has become very frustrating, as we are now living with a dictator. We have tried everything, with reasoning, bribing, ignoring, going along with him (this only works until we forget) and punishing. HELP!!! I don't know what to do.
How do i keep these idiots off my lawn? Ok, the store next to us has a lawn mowing service, and they mow my back lawn, However when they mow it, They mow it so high you can mow it again and they weedwacked my plants, any ideas on how to keep them off?
US copyright lawn questions? what will happen on the fansub community who subs japanese anime? and the streaming sites? and also the japanese anime songs download? thank you from the www.animenewsnetwork.com
Why does my son do this to us? Each morning my son wakes us by standing in the middle of the lawn and 'dawn chanting'. This involves total removal of clothes, a jar of honey and some uncontrolled yelps and cries. This is performed for an hour, after which he has a shower, gets dressed and goes to work. He is 43. Is this normal behaviour? He's been doing this for eighteen years.
If the pile of my living room carpet is too much, should I buy a lawn mower to shorten it just a little bit? I don't have a lawn mower now because I live in an apartment, and the landlord or such mows the lawn for us. Also, do you think that the landlord would notice if I trimmed the carpet? What was he thinking when he had such a thick carpet installed?! No, I can't say it has mold...it's a pretty fancy place; so, the carpet was just installed right before I moved here. It's just to squishy for me, and it bothers me! I live alone, but thanks for your luck! More for me! Ha ha!
How can I grow a nice lawn? Over the last 3 years, our lawn has gone from green and lush to half brown and sparse. There are times when our retic works but mostly it doesn't so our lawn relies on us watering it. Sometimes this works but other times, lots of water makes the ground appear mouldy and doesn't seem to help the lawn. Is there a way of making our lawn thicker again and is it possibly to train it to be drought resistant? I guess I should mention that I live in the tropics! During summer is when we have the most rain. In winter, when we have to water it, it's not really hot enough to burn the lawn. Our lawn is brown from not enough water but the soil sometimes gets mouldy when we give it lots of water.
Are you glad the US economy is collapsing? Do Americans, part of the most evil "democracy" of all time, deserve better? Are you equally as happy Arab nations have bought up over 10% of America thanks to Bush while Asia grows at as fast a pace as America is falling? Americans should learn how to eat lawn grass, because that will be their main staple.
Whats the best for us? I've had a large lot from my family for a long time...all grass and almost 40 acres. I'm building on it and my companion, who loves large lawns, wants a good tractor and mower to keep it nice and groomed and she's good at it. We have a 42 inch craftsman ( WAY too small) that she says sucks and won't do it. LOL We looked at a johndeer and a kubota both with 3 big hydraulicaly raised and lowered decks. They are both very expensive. Which one is better and would they let me add the cost into the financing of the house I'm building as an essential piece of equipment to maintain my property? And YES, albeit very cute and petite, she's VERY capable of handling heavy equipment! LOL The house isn't going to be very big (2870 sq ft) and the land has a small pond that covers a little patch of it. All things said, money is an issue...I don't want to go broke buying a tractor and mower. I also know Kubota has one of the best track records for reliability.
how to start a lawn care company? Me and my friend wanna start a lawn mowing company together, we are both 14 and want to know the best approach at going at it. What we were thinking is to post fliers all over our neighborhood, and charge 20$ a lawn as a flat rate. If it is a large lawn should we charge more or should we charge by the hour or wat? Also, is all you need a lawn mower, gas, and a little practice?(Neither of us have any practice at mowing lawns) If there is any suggestions they would be greatly appreciated.
Should they pay us back what they owe? We lent my married 17 year old step-daughter and her 23 year old husband over $800 to move into a fully furnished apartment and pay off their old cell phone disconnecting fees. This was back in march and they haven't paid back a penny. He gets paid from $400 - $500 a week TAKE HOME and only pay us $100 a month for their cell phone charges. A friend of mine takes care of their 7 month old but when time to pay comes there's always an excuse and they don't pay her. My step-daughter has been secretly spending all the money he and she make together and are being very irresponsible with their finances and are even bouncing checks. I know she had a tough life growing up with a greedy and incompetent mother but does this give her the right not to pay us back? We're upper middle class but have hospital bills to pay cause we don't have insurance. I asked my husband if he was going to talk to them about what they owe and he said "he does cut our lawn for us". Am I being unreasonable?
why do they call us beaners nd others? ok. im not full mexican. im filipino, spanish, nd mexican. but they still call me a beaner. its so wrong. i dont even know why they call us that. its like its ok that they call us beaners but its not ok if we call them trailertrash or gringos. shoot. they've bin calling me a border-hopper, beaner, wet**cks, lawn mower, nd a gardener all my life. i dont even know why? its just because my color of skin and race. im not being rasist or nothing but how come its always the americans that have to be rasist. they've bin rasist to blacks, mexicans, filipinos, spanishs, salvadorians, nd ect. nd the only thing i've noticed that adds it all up is that our skin is dark.
Starting small business mowing lawns? My friend and I want to start a mini business of law mowing. We will split all costs and profit in half. I live in florida in St. Pete which is a pretty urban place. Can you help us by telling us how to start this? Should we make business cards? How should we come up to people to ask if they want their lawn mowed? Thanks a lot!
Any help to get us out of financial hell? How can hubby make money consistently if he goes back to school? I'm married to a man who is deeply in love with me and our children. Though we have lots of love, our finances are terrible. My husband is one of those men who will do anything legal to suport his family so that I can stay home with our babies (2yr old and baby #2 due any day now). Yet DH has lost job after job where he tries so hard to do his best. He would like to go back to school, but he can't because we have bills (mortgage, car note, etc) ANd this is what really gets me..ALL of our bills come to less than 2k per month. That's all, an yet we struggle so much trying to make ends meet. We are behind on our mortgage and have $5 in our checking and are down to $170 per wk from UPS now that unemployment has ran out and his lawn biz has ran its course. When DH lost his job this year, he put the lawn mower in our car and started cutting yards going door-to-door. It became a booming biz, but then there was no rain and so grass just wasn't growing so biz slowed down to a halt while he still works pt at UPS for free benefits. He's been out knocking doors but only to get no's. He's been tryin to get anotha pt job to make ends meet, but to no avail. He's delvered phone books, cleaned up, call centers, you name it. But it seems he can't keep a job that will pay our bills ontime. I was going back to wrk but got preg with our 2nd child due any day now. I want to help but I'm about to have a baby. We're a very close knit family but we are very frustrated financially as we don't know what else to do to make CONSISTENT money. We tried starting a biz, but we need money to continue it tho we have all of the equipment (screen printing). Is there anyway dh can get money to support our family while going to school (he's an artst)? UPS will pay for it but we need money coming in along with UPS if he goes back to school! We have dreams we want to persue like our biz and artistic talents but it seems impossible to do that with little ones. I will start a pt online job in about 6 months from now but we need money yesterday! Any ideas about dh gettin paid while in school, our biz we tried to start in screen printing or something consistent, woud be a great HELP!!! Just for the record, I'm not stting bk just being served. I'm a full time Mom in a hi risk pregnancy. It was advised that I do not wrk during this pregnancy. When I got preg, my DH had a good job he was doin well at, but he was fired this year when things got slow for not meetin quota. He went out cuttin yards when everywhere he applied would not call him bk (he had to do sumthin). The thing is job security. That would be nice while our babies are growin up. We dont mind puttin things on hold while we raise a family, but UPS is a stable job since he's in the union, he just needs something else to go along with it to make ends meet. We have full free benefits at UPS for the entire family we're not giving that up, we just need 1 more job to meet 2k per mo NOW. I can wrk an make more money wrking pt but i go 2wrk in 6 mos after baby born, not before. so im jus askin for advice on sumthin 2 do now. So dont judge, we didnt wak up 1da thinkin he'd no longer have a job while im preg.
Can I bring food and beverages to an event on the US Capitol West Lawn? Going to a Memorial Day dress rehearsal and we want to bring some grub. I know we can't bring such things into the actual building, but the website doesn't mention items that are allowed onto the grounds. Going to a Memorial Day dress rehearsal and we want to bring some grub. I know we can't bring such things into the actual building, but the website doesn't mention items that are allowed onto the grounds. Okay, went to the event at the West Lawn, and we were able to bring in picnic bags; and though we didn't have one, I'm sure we could've brought a cooler. Everyone goes through metal detectors and they do a brief search of all bags and containers.
How do weeds spread from lawn to lawn? I've out a lot of time and money into trying to have a good lawn but my neighbor has Foxtail growing and it is not popping up in my yard. Do weeds put off a seed that is blown in the wind and carried over? I ask because I am writing a newsletter for the home owners association and would like to explain to those with bad lawns how they are affecting the rest of us.
What expenses should I plan for when moving into a house? I am in a dorm room now, the rent is ~$5600/year. The guy with the house is asking $375/person/month (3 people) and he will cover the utilities. Cable internet/tv is extra ($80 which will be split b/t at least 2 of us=>just under $30 each up to $40 each), and it is 15 minutes from campus (@ 40mph). I get pretty good gas mileage, but even one trip to campus and back per day 5 days a week would mean an extra $32.44/month and that is using my highway mpg rather than in-town mpg (which would raise the price). I'm not sure whether he would make us keep up the lawn (mowing, etc.). Do you think he would expect that of us? If he does, then we would either have to do it ourselves (and buy gas, a lawn mower, etc.), or we would have to pay someone to do it (twice a month for 1/3 of the year means $160/year=$13.33/month). Do you think my estimations are reasonable, and what would be any other expenses that I would have to pay for (excluding groceries)? Would it be worth it?
Where can you buy giant pumpkin leaf bags? I have looked at Home Depot, KMart, Dollar Stores, Grocery Stores, anyone know what store carries them? I live in the DC area, someone should have them, I see them on people's lawns...my daughter wants us to have some! Thanks!
What has to happen for a landlord to evict a tenant? i live in a duplex next door to my landlordthey just bought it 3 months ago and they are trying to annoy us enough to move out. im a month to month tenant with no lease agreement, they have threatned us into mowing the lawn and cleaning walkways and shoveling. They said if we didnt then the would require a yearly lease or evict us. They have just raised the rent because i didnt mow fast enough for them, and they are now asking us to give 60 days notice instead of the standard 30. Im a married man with 2 kids and a dog, whats happens if the evict us? what should i do? who should i contact for more information? im from new york and this is making me mad to have to go through this harrasment.
Can a lawncare service put a lien on your home? We just bought a home last year. A lawn care service was previously taking care of the lawn; hired by the last owners of the home. We were never approached to continue with the service. No contract was ever signed with us to continue the lawn service. They continued to come out and mow the lawn. We didn't even know the name of the company to call so we thought that the previous owners had taken care of it for the year. Now we get a bill saying we have to pay an extravagant amount or else they will put a lein against our home. Am i obligated to pay for this?
How Often Should My Lawn Be Mowed? My landlord mowed the lawn once a month in the winter and this spring he is mowing it every week. It seems the more he mows, the more weeds come up and the faster the lawn grows. Now he wants us to pay him to do it and said he must mow it twice a week in the summer. Any lawn/landscaping experts out there?? Is he mowing the lawn too much? I live at 98382...weather might be a factor. Thank you!
