publicly you will not have any reward from your Father in heaven 희는 일부러 남들이 보는 앞에서ㅏ 선행을 하는일이 없도록 하여라 그렇지 않으면 하늘에 계신 아버지에게서 아무런 상도 받지 못한다 o when you give something to a needy person k do not make a big show of it as the hypocrites do in the houses of worship and on the streets They do it so that people will praise them I assure you they have already been paid in full 선을 베풀 때에는 위선자들이 칭차나을 받으려고 회당과 거리에서 하듯이 스스로 나팔을 불지 말라 나는 분명히 말한다 그들은 이미 받을 상을 다 받았다 But when you help a needy person do it in such a way that even your closest friend will not know about it 자선을 베풀 때에는 오른손이 하는 일을 왼손이 모르게 하여 Then it will be a private matter And your Father who sees what you do in kprivate will rewrd you 그 자선을 숨겨 두어라 그러면 숨은 일도 보시는 네 아버지께서 갚아 주실 것이다 Teaching about Prayer 기도에 대한 가르침 hen you pray do not be like the hypocrites They love to stand up and pray in the houses of worship and on the street corners so that everyone will see them I assure you they have already been paid in full 도할떼에도 위선자들처럼 하지 말아라 그들은 남에게 보이려고 회당이나 한길 모퉁이에 서서 기도하기를 좋아한다 나는 분명히 말한다 그들은 이미 받을 상을 다 받았다 But when you pray go to your room close the door and pray to your Father who is unseen And your Father who sees what you do in private will reward you 너는 기도할 떼에 ㅏ골방에 들어 가 문을 닫고 보이지 않는 네 아버지께 기도하여라 그러면 숨은 일도 보시는 아버지께서 다 들어 주실 것이다 When you pray do not use a lot of meaningless words as the pagans do who think that God will hear them because their prayers are long 희는 기도할 떼에 이방인들처럼 빈말을 되풀이하지 말아라 그들은 말을 많이 해야만 하느님께서 들어 주시는 줄 안다 Do not be like them Youir Father already knows what you need before you ask him 그러니 그들을 본받지 말아라 너희의 아버지께서는 will be done on earth as it is in heaven 아버지의 나라가 오게 하시며 아버지의 뜻이 하늘에서와 같이 땅에서도 이루어지게 하소서 Give us today the food we need 오늘 우리에게 필요한 양식을 주시고 Forgive us the wrongs we have done as we forgive the wrongs that others have done to us 우리가 우리에게 잘못한 이를 용서하듯이 우리의 잘못을 용서하시고 Do not bring us to hard testing but keep us safe from the Evill One 우리를 유혹에 빠지지 않게 하시고 악에서 구하소서 For your is the kingdom and the power But if you do not forgive others then your Father will not forgive the wrongs you have done 그러나 너희가 남의 잘못을 용서 하기 않으면 아버지께서도 너희의 잘못을 용서하지 않으실 것이다 Teaching about Fasting 단식에 대한 가르침 nd when you fast do not put on a sad face as the hypocrites do They neglect their appearance so that everyone will see that thy are fasting I assure you they have already been paid in full 희는 단식할 때에 위선자들처럼 침통한 얼굴을 하지 말아라 그들은 단식한다는 것을 남에게 보이려고 얼굴에 그 기색을 하고 다닌다 나는 분명히 말한다 그들은 이미 받을 상을 다 받았다 When you go without food k wash your face and comb your hair 단식할 때에는 얼굴을 씻고 머리에 기름을 발라라 so that others cannot know that you are fasting only your Father who is unseen will know And your Father k who sees what you do in private will reward you 그리하여 단식하는 것을 남에게 드러내지 말고 보이지 않는 네 아버지께 보여라 그러면 숨은 일도 보시는 아버지께서 갚아 주실 것이다 Riches in Heaven 하늘에 재물을 쌓으라 o not stor up riches for yourselves here on earth where moths and rust destroy and robbers break in and steal 물을 땅에 쌓아 두지 말아라 땽에서는 좀먹거나 녹이 슬어 못 쓰게 되며 도둑이 뚫고 들어 와 훔쳐 간다 Instead store up riches for yurselves in heaven where moths and rust cannot destroy and robbers cannot break in and steal 그러므로 재물을 하늘에 쌓아 두어라 거기서는 좀먹거나 녹슬어 못 쓰게 되는 일도 없고 두둑이 뚫고 들어 와 훔쳐 가지도 못한다 For your heart will always be where your riches are 너희의 재물이 있는 곳에 너희의 마음도 있다 The Light of the Body 눈은 몸의 등불 he eyes are like a lamp for the body If your eyes are sound your whole body will be full of light 은 몸의 등불이다 그러므로 네 눈이 성하면 온 몸이 밝을 것이며 but if your eyes are no good your body will be in darkness So if the light in you is dadrkness how terribly dark it will be 네 눈이 성하지 못하면 온 몸이 어두울 것이다 그러니 만일 네 마음의 빛이 빛이 아니라 어둠이라면 그 어둠이 얼마나 심하겠느냐 God and possessions 하느님이냐 재물이냐 o one can be a slave of two masters he will hate one and love the other he will be loyal to one and despise the other You cannot serve both God and money 무도 두 주인을 섬길 수는 없다 한 편을 미워하고 다른 편을 사랑하거나 한 편을 존중하고 다른 편을 업신여기게 된다 너희는 하느님과 재물을 아울리 섬길수 없다 his is why I tell you do not be worried about the food and drink you need in order to stay alive or about clothes for your body After all isn life worth mjore than food And isn the body worth more than clothes 러므로 나는 분명히 말한다 너희는 무엇을 먹고 마시며 살아 갈까 또 몸에는 무엇을 걸칠까 하고 걱정하지 말아라 목숨이 음식보다 소중하지 않느냐 또 몸이 옷보다 소중하지 않느냐 Look at the birds they do not plant seeds gather a harvest and put it in barns yet your Father in heaven takes care of them Aren you worth much more than birds 공중의 새들을 보아라 그것들은 씨를 뿌리거나 거두거나 곳간에 모아 들이지 않아도 하늘에 계신 너희의 아버지께서 먹여 주신다 너희는 새보다 휠씬 귀하지 않느냐 Can any of you live a bit linger by worrying about it 너희 가운데 누가 걱정한다고 목숨을 한 시간인들 더 늘일수 있겠느냐 And why worry about clothes Look how the wild flowers grow they do not work or make clothes for themselves 또 너희는 어찌하여 홋 걱정을 하느냐 들꽃이 어떻게 자라는가 살펴 보아라 그것들은 수고도 하지 않고 길쌈도 하지 않는다 But I tell you that not even King Solomon with all his wealth had clothes as beautiful as one of these flowers 그러나 온잦 영화를 누린 솔로몬도 이 꽃 한 송이만큼 화려하게 차려 입지 못하였다 It is God who clothes the wild grass grass that is here today and gone tomorrow burned up in the oven Won he be all the more sure to clothe you What little faith you have 너희는 어찌하여 그렇게도 믿음이 약하냐 오늘 피었다가 내일 아궁이에 던져질 들꽃도 하느님께서 이처럼 입히시거든 하물며 너희야 얼마나 더 잘 입히시겠느냐 so do not start worrying here will ny food come from or my drink or my clothes 그러므로 무엇을 먹을까 무엇을 마실까 또 무엇을 입을까 하고 걱정하지 말라 These are the things the pagans are always concerned about your Father in heaven knows that you need all these things 이런 것들은 모두 이방인들이 찿는 것이다 하늘에 계신 아버지께서는 이 모든 것이 너희에게 있어야 할 것을 잘 알고 계신다 Instead be concerned above everything else with the Kingdom of God and with what he requires of you and he will provide you with all these other things 너희는 먼저 하느님의 나라와 하느님께서 의롭게 여기시는 것을 구하여라 그러면 이 모든 것도 곁들여 받게될 것이다 So do not worry about tomorrow it will have enough worries of its own There is no need to add to the troubles each day brings 그러므로 내일 일은 걱정하지
